Selling my Meade 8" SCT. It is from the short lived LX80 line. OTA is just a standard Meade f/10 SCT. OTA is in good condition, with a few little mark on the outside. Optics are in excellent nick. It was my main lunar scope since I got it new four years ago.

I've coupled the OTA to an old LX6 set of forks, but the original dovetail is also included. Forks have the original handset, but the function is only to control RA direction and rate. Runs on 12V - cigarette cord is included. The encoders had been removed when I got the forks, but a new set can be put onto it and couple it to your preferred digital setting circles. Mount comes with the wedge and a surveyor's tripod.

Included with the scope is a 2" SCT adapter, 1.25" adapter, 1.25" diagonal, RDF and dust caps. Included is also the Steampunk focus wheel that allows for finer focus control. This wheel is only pressure fit onto the focus knob and can be easily pulled off.

OTA and fork fit into a custom case built by myself.

Asking for $600 for the OTA (including dovetail and OTA accessories), or if you want it complete with the mount, wedge and tripod $870. Pick up only from Maroubra in Sydney's east.
