NGC 1350 in Fornax

With an apparent size 1/3 that of other more popular galaxies positioned well in the current galaxy season, like NGC 1097 and NGC 1365 and less than 1/10 the size of the perennial favourites up at the moment, like NGC 253 and NGC 55 et al, NGC 1350 in Fornax is a little more challenging to get a good image of...and needs some decent conditions to reveal some of the fine structures in its ring like arms

It's a lovely subtle galaxy, nearly 90 Million light years away, hence it's modest size of 6' X 3' and it shows very little obvious star forming going on, hence the lack of any significant pink HII regions.

Hope you like something not seen very often

The full frame full resultion image is HERE..personally I recommend opening the full frame full res image and then shrinking it just enough in your browser to fit on your screen so little or no scrolling is required
