Uranus and moons 23 Oct.

Hi all, first post from me, I normally post in Cloudy Nights but thought I'd try here also.

I was on a mission to capture Uranus for the first time (and some moons if possible) and last night seemed as good as any. After some unspectacular images of a very soft Jupiter and Saturn, I pointed at Uranus and waited for the planet to rise above the muck and decided that anything above 30 degrees altitude would do for the moment.

I got the planet OK, and captured the moons also with a separate video with higher gain on the camera. The moons appeared by changing the levels in Photoshop and I placed then on top of the planet shot as a separate layer. WinJupos agrees with the moon placement, so I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out. Probably the seeing wasn't ideal, I might have to try again with clearer viewing.

Anyway, submitted for your critique is my final image.

Thanks,

Andrew

Capture details: Celestron Evolution 9.25" SCT with 2x Barlow, ASI 224MC, 7500 frames at 24 fps, 50% stacked in AS!3 with 3x drizzle, sharpened in Registax, finished in Photoshop Elements, final image 150% captured size.
