Workflow for Starnet++ when using a mac

Was asked this recently, so thought I'd share it here....

NB* Only works on Mac OS 10:13 or later

For more info read this thread on Cloudy Nights
And this on AstrobinB

Here’s what I do - it's fiddly but it works!

1: Download the latest Mac_OS.zip from Sourceforge

2: Copy the entire folder to your desktop

3: Your working Ha or NB image must be a 16 bit mono or RGB tif file.
You must rename your image mono_test5.tif (or rgb_test5.tif if it’s a colour image) & save it in the same Starnet_MacOS folder on the desktop

4: Open Terminal and paste - cd ~/Desktop/StarNet_MacOS

5. Hit Enter

6: Drag 'run_mono_starnet.sh' into the Terminal - you should see the path of the the file appear.
(If using a RGB file drag run_rgb_Starnet.sh instead)

7: Hit enter - Program will run (takes a while)

8: Open mono_test5_s.tif & be amazed at the results!

9: Save & rename your image, repeat with O3, S2 etc. Remember you have to rename each one mono_test5.tif each time
(yes it’s fiddly but the results are awesome!)

Hope that's useful

Cheers

Andy
