Acetone and plain white Kleenex is indeed recommended by AP.
Tissues=cheap Lenses=expensive
One wipe per tissue. Go through the
whole box and it will cost you.... what....$3.00?

Just as Kleenex contain grit - ask me how I know that too and use Kimwipes, as we did exclusively with microscopes costing as much as AP's
I have found Kimwipes flawless actually - not once scratching anything. These are KimWipe KIMTECH science wipers, not some of the lesser grades. Where I worked for Medical Micro research, not a chance of using anything else on microscopes - we would have been castigated and castrated.
