Interesting, but I wonder how a couple of bearings cost $900 he must have outsourced some machining work or something. I will have to check my mount out now, the stiffness is not something I have noticed in mine but may be present. My mount was really noisy when I got it (secondhand) but after adjusting the worms and motor cogs and a re grease it was a lot quieter and smoother, so well worth the time having a tinker.
