Perhaps it is a tiny bit over-saturated for maximum visual appeal, but the contrast and sharpness are excellent: all the fine detail is there.
If you rotate the image 90 degrees anticlockwise, the "creature from the lagoon", a demonic winged figure of great size centred on the hourglass, appears very sharply, complete with fingers on the ends of the arching wings.
