Who'd have thought it would make such a difference on a mirrorless camera.

I'd be inclined to keep that setting on all the time.

Thanks Andrew, it really floored me when I first saw the blurry images coming down the pipe.

There is a mechanical shutter in the EOS R and I suspect it is related to vibration associated with its operation?
