Allan, you could try Jerry Lodriguss's ebook "Astrophotography with a DSLR" on CD available here
http://www.astropix.com/GADC/GADC.HTM At about $40 it's good value and contains all the info you'll need. Also good is R. Scott Ireland's book "Photoshop Astronomy" (Published by Willman Bell). Bintel had some copies the last time I looked. Alas, you'll also need some sort of imaging software--eg Photoshop, ImagesPlus, DSLRFocus etc)
