Hi Kevin,

It’s not unusual for the stacked image to be 1. More feint and 2. Lacking in colour once stacked in DSS. If you load the saved TIFF up in Photoshop it will straight away be brighter. That’s when you can start stretching the image and extracting the detail and also increasing the saturation to bring out your colours. I have found Galaxies harder to process than bright nebulae. Spend some time on it though and see what you can come up with. Processing Astro images is not easy and we’re all always learning with it.
