Have you got a Gemini coming with the GM-8? If so you can use it's serial port to control the guiding.
Otherwise you'll need some sort of interface to the GM-8 through the guide port. This is what I do..

Instead of using an LX200 emulator you can use a shoestring parallel port adapter. This also works with K3CCDTools.
