Big Test for EQ6-R last night

I decided to image last night despite the wind gusting between 25 and 35km/hr to see how my EQ6-R mount and guiding would stand up against conditions
Target was M16 and Centaurus A and took 5 minute dithered guided subs
Used my 8” f5 newt ( everyone told me it will be a big windsock but it didn’t let me down last night )
Guiding was between 0.80 to 1.50 arc sec error over 6 hours with only 1 or 2 frames with issues
Dithering was set to 3 or medium
This mount was performing beautifully in adverse conditions so guiding was doing its job efficiently
A big thumbs up to the Skywatcher EQ6-R !!
Unlike previous times I set up the mount quite low, only extending the tripod legs around 100mm, so the mount had a lower centre of gravity, don’t know if this contributed to better performance
