I heard about this magnetar on the radio earlier, awsome stuff. They even had an audio of this object. Apparently the magnetars magnetic field is so strong that if it passed near or solar systen it would render the Earth sterile. Gee, when I think of magnetic fields I think of fridge magnets not something that can roast us alive
