I have not tried with my lx200. I did with my skyview pro mount and intes mk67 setup. It seemed to work although my alignment was off on the mount it still guided ok. I too found very little reviews. Generally found favourable reviews and usually think of mounting the lvi on a guide scope rather than through the scope was the way to go.
I could give links but none are for lx200 but then there are not many links beyond those you have likely found.
I cannot say how this will work for your setup. I tried to look and could not find anything specific for the lx200 for this. This unit is practically brand new and was bought from new used a couple of times as i have just been using my mount and dslr to learn basic astrophotography. I also need to fund other projects.
