Eta Carinae Nebula NGC 3372 800 f8 102mm

Perhaps I planted too many trees, but they block the streetlight.

The moon was up and Eta was all I could see once it came out from behind a tree. Stellarium was not happy to slew so it was over to the finder to locate the object.

Strangely, PHD happily chugged away for 3 minutes at a time with the barest of backyard alignments, don't ask me how that works. This was iso 400 with a stock 20mp camera .

With the reducer on , could I go iso 200 for a longer time and produce more detail with less noise for this big bright thing before the moon arrives.?
