Should have mentioned I’m using a Canon 600D which is set to provide jpegs and raw ( Cr ) files
I use the jpegs to visually check the images then
I use the raw (Cr ) images to load them into Deep Sky Stacker to stack , then the stacked image is saved as fts file ready for post processing in Startools
The final image is saved as a jpeg or tiff or png file
That’s all I do nothing else
I don’t work on jpegs or any of the others
