Maybe seeing conditions could be the difference but the 6” f6 works well with my Canon 600D at 5 x zoom on BYEOS which produces almost 1:1 pixel resolution
On the 8” f5 with 5 x zoom on BYEOS the images appear not as sharp especially using the Televue powermates ( maybe to much magnification for the seeing conditions )
Lots of variables but you do get a feel for your scopes after a while and so far the 6” seems better
Maybe the next night I use the 8” on the moon things maybe different
