as soon as you get an hour inland from the coast, frosts and ice are a common occurrence in QLD in winter.
I remember a couple of years ago we were up in the Savannah country in N QLD and we met some travelers from Victoria...they were horrified that the weather was cold and rainy, just like they were used to
like, see your breath, good winter jacket cold. They thought QLD never had winter...sure, it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome like it does down south (that job is left to summer!)...
And ask any folk who’ve travelled to QLD AstroFest how warm the nights are
