If it is a no-stretch belt you require, a urethane belt reiniforced with wire is available for a few dollars down to a length of 110mm from cnc / 3d printer suppliers on line in various widths and lengths. Many good suppliers in the UK.
Some have shallow teeth to engage with a toothed pulley which you can also buy for a few dollars but I think they would also work on a smoothish surface.
