The camera is an Olympus mju300, one of the mini/auto series they produce. I just hand held it to the eyepiece and the moon was bright enough to get away with, Saturn and Jupiter showed up the hand movement but the detail captured even in the faulty shots was amazing (could see the Cassini division easily
).
The shot here was simply cropped in Photoshop and changed to greyscale with no other manipulation used. I have six other good shots so I want to try to stack them over the next lot of cloudy weather.
Next step is a mount for the camera and scope and to get the equatorial platform working again. I think the bug has bit
