Thank you for the replies. I will clean up the old score marks and tighten in a new spot for now.
The ADM looks like a good replacement and perhaps the alloy is harder, milled rather than cast. The old puck is soft and the screws seem to bight through.
True that a slightly larger size screw would offer more purchase for the hex key if nipping tight.
