If you ever want to apply pressure try this.
You write your letter and send it to every MP , Government and Opposition, state and federal and to each council if you really want to be cute☺.
Anyways the result is you generally get replies stating that the matter has been refferred to the Minister responsible...what that means is your letter not only comes from you to the Minister responsible but from all places referring it on to him...or her...often with an enclosing letter☺.
The idea is you show that you are a complete nut that needs to be helped before you get serious☺.
I have found it works very well.
