If you want to take the next step into AP , I recommend to get yourself a HEQ5 mount and a cheap GSO 6” f5 or f6 newt like I did which won’t break the bank ( unless you already have a refractor )
I use Backyard EOS and Autostakkert to capture and process my lunar and planetary images which is easy to use and does a superb job
My 6” newt also takes my DSO images ( check out my post today ) it’s a low cost telescope ($299) which gives you plenty of bang for your buck
