Most of the finest lunar images are acquired using video, and stacking in Registax or similar software, because of the turbulence in our atmosphere,
usually 1000 frames or more. The same applies to the planets. No single frame of a planet will come anywhere near a stacked final image. We are talking top notch here, not just good to very good. A good example is your close up image; it is very good, but a top notch stacked image will be better.
