I use a pair of Endura Humvee baggy mountain bike shorts.
Mine came with the now optional clickfast inner lining (read padded underpants).
They aren’t cheap but work well and you don’t look ridiculous.
FWIW, your bum will toughen up if you ride more frequently. Hard core riders use butt cream (Chamois Cream) stops chafing, that may help.
Seat height and position are important, too low and or too far fore or aft and you put extra pressure “down there”
