I spent decades using a 10" newt and never got tired of the objects within its reach, it's very good size.

The Webb Society has a list of publications of observing lists and guides that are a wonderful resource.

Among these is an observing list of planetary nebulae compiled by Kent Wallace, an american amateur using a C8,and later a 20". I suspect it would be a long time before you get through his 400+ planetaries through the C8 though. If you can get hold of it, his older publication 'Planetary Pages' is just for the C8, and would definitely be a suitable for your 10".

But half the time I would just spend the afternoon leafing through my sky atlas 2000, figure out which things were up, make a list and go crawling through the constellations to find them that night. It's still pretty ,much what I do!
cheers,
Andrew.
