As it's been unprecedentedly clear for the past 4-5 nights in Melbourne, I've been able to add two more panels to my previous post.
This now gives this wave of Ha some much needed room to move - it's big too - NGC 2477 contains over 300 stars, and according to the link is known as
"The Electric Guitar Cluster".
This field is already 2.3 x8 degrees and the wave stretches all the way to the Vela SNR. (Anyone up for a mega mosaic?
)
It's also very close to the Ha mountain in Puppis imaged earlier, so I miiiight add those extra 2-3 panels to join up to it - you can see the proposed field in the Galaxy map survey attached.
I've also got a big new 'scope that's wants to come out & play, so maybe no more mosaic-ing this year!
Baked in APP, aligned in Registar & finished off with a touch of PS.
I'm pretty happy with the mix of star colours too, considering it taken under the full moon with the LP at home in suburban Melbourne.
