There are degrees Evan. If you just want to plonk it down and drive it manually then accuracy isn't really an issue. If you want to use the goto then the closer your get the better. If you can get it within a couple of degrees, for visual work you should have np. It will also depend on how accurate your go to needs to be to perform an accurate star alignment.
