saw the images,from one of the mars orbiters,of these "polar jets",on space.com,this morning.they also have a artists impression.
both amazing pic's.all material from the jets,seem to be trailing away in one direction,could this be due to Martian wind?also,makes one wonder where nasa will land,if they make it to mars one day?i know the equator is good,for solar power,but i've also heard the perimeters of the polar ice caps,are a good place to look for signs of (ancient microbial)life.("follow the water",etc)
