Nice shot frank. Wish I could do some imaging with my 350d but it's been so went and cloudy, and on the one clear night tonight I have the ST7 working overtime on another project instead. Good to see nice images like this keep coming in the mean time, tie me over while I can't get my own.
I have sometimes had bizzar drift that I can't explain. Some really bizzar stuff too that I really can't explain. Usually just doesn't happen again. Lots of possibilities, so many I usually don't bother thinking about it too long if the next night is back to being OK again.
I remember manually guiding on a star for 6 hours worth of LMC exposure (film) and then when I got it developed it was all trailing in RA - yet I know for sure i had the same star in the crosshairs of my eyepiece and in the same star field for the entire 6 hours.
