During disassembly put pencil marks on the edges of the elements so you can put them back in the same orientation. The rotation of the elements with respect to each other is important and should be maintained in reassembly.
It also a good idea to put marks on the OTA and lens cell so these parts and the lens elements are all in the original (rotational) alignment. For black metallic parts a kids crayon will be more visible than pencil.
Use something you can remove later on the OTA.
