Awful, I think not. Its a nice image with some good data, I have heard it is a tricky one.
I may try this one myself with the SN10.
A large amount of the dark sky has blue. Looking at some other images, ones with data around 30 minutes are like this maybe be due to stretching the data to see the face. Images with couple of hours or more seem to be blacker in the dark sky, maybe less stretching required. Only an observation I an no expert in processing but I like to collect data
Also not sure but possibly a little out of focus or minor star trails.
This certainly is not an image I would label as awful, I have done much worse on simpler targets
