My wife and I did a short survey during the last few weeks concerning those driving in the overcast weather we were experiencing at the time. We came to the conclusion - no statistics available, this was very much an on-the-spot thing - that 80% of lighter cars (of whatever colour) used headlights when conditions were gloomy and 80% of the darker cars (of whatever colour) did not.
Disclosure: I drive a car of white appearance and flick on its headlights as soon as I feel that it's necessary (meaning that someone may not see me coming otherwise).
Right: Now on to those vehicles flaunting fog lights - especially the BLUE ones - which are . . . then again, perhaps not.
