I know they are dangerous and treat them as such.
I just find my approach takes away the annoyance somewhat.
I see folk who must kill them and their whole focus turns yo swatting and its all they can think about.
For me its still there but I dont let it ruin my event and stay calm and therefore happy.
But sensible precautions are best addressed expecting they may be around.
Good clothing for a start and use the spray on your clothes as well so you are not a happy place for them.
The old mozzie coil usually helps when it is calm.
