One of THE best 1.5x screw-on-teleconverters is the RICOH TC-200M made sometime ago by/for Ricoh & Olympus. You can find them on ebay sometimes for crazy money, sometimes not. It is very sharp and about as good as it gets for low chromatic abberation for these type of devices (telecentric amplifier / afocal lens). It has a 52mm screw mounting thread.
It is the equal of the also wonderful Nikon TC-E15ED.
