There's a Hoffmann company manufacturing all sorts of tools, nowadays a "Hoffmann Group" with many incorporated manufacturing companies. Maybe the original Hoffmann factory lineup contained measurement tripods, too.
Thanks and hi I bought it from a professional photographer returning to the USA his photos were stunning too. I think it is more than steady enough for a polarie and the camera I was thrilled
