Over the next few months I shall be offering for sale a number of my telescopes and mounts.


First item, to get things started, is this Meade 2080 in amazing condition for it's age - almost showroom. I have changed the drive to an LX10 type that uses a 9v battery that works well and is much more convenient than the original 240v synchronous drive. I also rebuilt the tripod spreaders - and a previous owner made a solid aluminium clamp plate. Optically its very good, just not as bright as my C8 (which is also for sale).



Comes with original meade diagonal but no eyepieces. OTA storage box also available but very rough condition.

Prefer to sell to local buyer and can travel as far as Hobart to deliver this or other items if interest is there. Reluctant to pack and send by courier, however depending on interest in my other items I am considering making a delivery trip to the mainland at some stage.
