First attempt at prime focus astrophotography

Hi Everyone,

I recently got a T-adapter and decided to try my Canon 550d and 8inch dob combo for imaging the planets.

Video recordings taken using a 2x barlow at prime focus with movie crop mode, processed in autostakkert.

Lots to learn, but I am satisfied with the results considering no tracking, and using mostly default settings in the software. It is a surprisingly fun process, imaging with a dob is difficult though particularly at high power.

Also just out of curiosity if anyone knows, is that dark feature in the northern band a storm ? I checked and saw that no shadow transits were in progress at the time of recording.

Any tips are most welcome.
