Thanks for those nice words guys; I sure could have used their soothing balm last night when I was cursing the clouds and weather. Just hope the neighbours weren’t awake and listening to the tirade of abuse I was heaping on the ***** weather patterns.

Master – I wish? No, not me Mike; I’m still climbing that lofty imaging mountain where I am fortunate enough to have a bunch of great friends and mentors here, on IIS, who have helped me along with way with tips, techniques, processing skills and coaching from the sidelines, along with a healthy dose of Aussie common sense when I get a little too up myself.

Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to have acquired some really first class gear and that has made a big difference on my imaging adventures. I am constantly amazed and inspired by people who have less sophisticated gear, yet are able to produce such outstanding results. Examples are you Dob freaks who produce superb images of Jupiter and the Moon. Then there is Andrew (Middy) with his “lashed up” tracking platform and that one man imaging machine Eric, who almost captured the full Messier catalogue in one night!

The efforts of these guys help keep me humble and enrich my time under the stars as a consequence.

Cheers

Dennis
