2/10 seeing JUPITER 8th Aug - But with New Mid Range Image Scale

Hi All, seeing was very poor, but as my imaging window on Jupiter shrinks to around 30min, I can't afford to be choosy

Also tried out for the first time my new Vixen DX 2x barlow. With the extension added in the imaging train from flip mirror and filter wheel I was finding the 2.5x powermate giving around 2.2x (too small) and my 4x powermate around 4.5x (too big for anything <7-8/10 seeing). The Vixen is giving me around 3 to 3.5x which fills the gap nicely and should get plenty of work as it seems a good all round compromise!

Anyway, here's the shot. No idea if it's best worst or whatever, but the planets edge was shimmying like a grass skirt on a Hula dancer in full swing. If I can get 4-5/10 this should work out nicely.

cheers,
