Thanks Dave. I have tracked down the culprit. It's jpeg compression loss. For IIS I have to keep the file under 200K, but even Astrobin is a jpeg. The original TIFF is considerably sharper than the Astrobin one. I'll have to experiment more with compression levels. It gets tricky for busy starfields as the file sizes can really blow out for big files.
