I read through some others forums where older versions did not work properly?

That’s exactly how I run mine.....works flawlessly and no different to when I hook up the neq6 direct to the computer. Easiest way to run it I believe.
I’m not sure of the synscan version I’m running but I’d say the mount is a few years old. I purchased it used 12mth ago.
