Shapley 1

Shapley 1 is a planetary nebula located in Norma. Its non bipolar, Torus shaped planetary. In other words it is face on towards us with a distinct ring of gas and dust. Also can be seen a bright halo which does extend out further than my meagre image of 16 hours. Mike Sidonio did a longer integration a few years back and it shows the halo better.

I am hoping to collect a bit more data yet in the OIII to see if I can get the outer reaches of the halo.
