I just got power back, transformer down the road came back on line Friday morning for a few minutes and then failed. Last night, it pretty much exploded. Had rocks the size of grapefruit all over the roads here... but we got off really lightly. Next valley over has no roads or bridges anymore, just a river where a little stream used to run.
I got to my dark site today, and it was completely untouched.
The storms came in on a specific path and a couple of kilometres either side, the damage was minimal. What a friggin ride!
