Well done with your pics. I know how difficult it is to get even one good one.
Mine were taken at EGILSSTADIR, which is on the east coast.
I was lucky in that I could walk around next to a frozen lake which meant it was reasonably dark except for my hotel and a few small buildings directly behind me. No moon, planned for that.
I didn't realise that the "lights", as they are called here, move around across the sky from one horizon to the other fairly rapidly. You need to be able to move and recompose for each shot.
All my pics were on the same night from the same location, allowing for moving 50 metres or so as the "lights" changed and some taken to the north and some to the south. This is not easy as the snow was mid shin deep, it was dark and cold and I didn't know the area and didn't want to fall through the ice into the lake.
A great experience, one I had planned for, for a long time. Lucky, with Iceland's weather, to get one clear night.
