Would like to trade my 90mm Hydrogen alpha Lunt modified scope for a 120mm ED doublet refractor or similar size scope.Would also consider a 4 inch Takahashi refractor ,plus a cash payment depending on the age of the scope.
The scope was constructed from a 50mm Lunt Ha scope (4mm blocking filter) which was purchased new and I used a new 90mm achro F7 refractor for the objective end. The etalon is fitted with a 2 inch H-alpha 35nm filter that acts as a ERF filter.The scope can be used in mono viewing mode(which I prefer) or with binoviewers and a small extension tube (usually a 2X barlow with the nosepiece removed) to help achieve focus.The scope was made exactly 12 months ago.
Gives excellent views of the suns surface with good detail.Ideally I would like to trade with someone in the melbourne region,as they can check out the scope and have a look through it.Can also include a free AZ3 tripod ,if a trade is found in melbourne.Also have tube rings to go with it.Also have the original 50mm objective lens of the Lunt scope.The scope cost around $2400 to construct.Please PM if you are interested,Nick.
