OK, I give up - how is this bird's name pronounced?
We have a roaming pack of them - usually 10 or so - that dig through the yard (or fly up to the window trying to get to our tomatoes inside
).
Official name is white winged Chough - is that "choff" in pronunciation or "Chok"? (knowing Scottish, it's probably either!)
