
David , yes these were mostly built by Losmanday for Celestron so very solid and tracks beautifully , they used to put C14's on these as good as they are that's about Max for a mount of this size , 3.8 metres of focal length will tax the best mount under 10k , usable yes ,,, just but a C11 would be perfect as it is under my C9.25.
Here is my iStar 127mm f8 on it , note the position of the counterweight

, plenty more weight able to be put on it .
Your EQ6 would hold a C9.35 with ease as I used an HEQ5 for years , no worries and yes these 102mm f10 achromat's on a Vixen's SP mount is a great setup , so easy and fast to set up and use ..

That celestron mount looks a fine bit of kit. I am soon to get a c9.25 and I must say that looks an excellent match for the CI700. I suspect the c9.25 may be confined to my Eq6 rather than the Super Polaris. I could be very tempted at some point to upgrade from the Eq6 although it has served me well and does the job. The CI700 looks beautifully machined and looks a lot like the G11.
