Are you sure that the filter that comes with the scope isn't ir/uv blocked?

No, I don't. Thats more a refractor thing for me, to minimise CA. Because I'm one shot colour, the uv and ir would likely be blocking those wavelengths anyways. even if they are not, I don't really care.
