Drove 2 hours to a "dark" site at Haigh park at Moogerah Lake. The weather was alright despite the forecast, but the western horizon was a complete lightshow and couldn't get any deep sky imaging done due to the lightning flashes and the number of people that slowly trickled in every half hour or so. I did by complete chance grab a decent image of the Io transit (the butt end of it anyways) as well as the GRS. Not too shabby for a 5" refractor
